"Two for Tonight"

Two One-Act Plays:

“The Atom and Eve,” by Robert Landis (author of The Canaris Enigma, Au Revoir Cyrano, Postumosly   Speaking)

The year is 2021.  The world is an increasingly dangerous and explosive one.  The U.S. Senate has, under consideration, a revolutionary initiative, which would transform international relationships forever.  Senator Eve Baldwin faces the most important vote of a lifetime and struggles through a titanic battle of pros and cons.

“Bury The Dead” by Irwin Shaw ~ (author of The Young Lions, The Talk of the Town, and The Troubled Air)

This, Shaw’s first play, turns upside down the rules of the life and death game.

Through surprising dialogue, you will learn some of the most personal and intimate thoughts of the un-dead.

The time is "the second year of the war that is to begin tomorrow night," and a military burial detail goes about its sad duties; however, the dead soldiers rise up and insist on being allowed to rejoin the living. Word of their insurrection spreads rapidly—to the soldiers in the field, the generals, the news media, with alarming effect. A modern classic, this stirring and eloquent anti-war play employs brilliantly, imaginative theatricality to convey its timeless message.

Production Dates:  March 25, 26, and 27
