“Bury The Dead” by Irwin Shaw ~ (author of The Young Lions, The Talk of the Town, and The Troubled Air)

This, Shaw’s first play, turns upside down the rules of the life and death game.

Through surprising dialogue, you will learn some of the most personal and intimate thoughts of the un-dead.

The time is "the second year of the war that is to begin tomorrow night," and a military burial detail goes about its sad duties; however, the dead soldiers rise up and insist on being allowed to rejoin the living.
